- Your child may be eligible for a medicare rebate of up to five sessions per year under the Chronic Disease Management Plan if they are deemed to have a chronic condition and complex care needs by your GP.
- A chronic condition is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer. Clients have complex care needs if they need ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team consisting of their GP and at least two other health care providers.
Carer allowance is an income support for carers who provide additonal daily care and attention for someone with a disability or medical condition
Speech Pathology intervention is rebateable through private health insurance depending on the level and limit of your cover. Contact your health insurer to discuss.
