Assessment
An initial, comprehensive assessment will be scheduled for up to one and a half hours, however two sessions may be required if there are multiple areas of concern. A written report outlining assessment results and recommendations will be provided following the completion of the assessment.
A comprehensive literacy assessment will require two assessment sessions.
Therapy
Frequency and duration of therapy appointments are determined in consultation with parents and are offered as 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions. Depending on your child's difficulties and the level of support you desire, appointments may be scheduled weekly or fortnightly. Parents are essential and integral to treatment with continued training and education provided during each session. Home activities are supplied in a personalised folder with additional therapy materials loaned.
Telepractice is also offered as an alternate therapy service.
Preschool/School Visit
May be required as part of the assessment process with an additional fee payable. ,These visits aim to gather further information regarding your child’s communication abilities in school as well as providing the teacher with techniques and strategies for integrating speech and language goals within the classroom and playground environments.
